Clarification On Report In Business Times Of 29 January 2011
We refer to the news article titled, "CCT gets provisional nod to redevelop Market Street Car Park" in The Business Times dated 29 January 2011. CapitaCommercial Trust Management Limited (the "Manager"), the manager of CapitaCommercial Trust ("CCT") is evaluating the redevelopment of Market Street Car Park and has not arrived at any decision at this point. As the outline planning permission obtained in 2008 has lapsed, the Manager has, as part of its portfolio evaluation exercise, submitted a new application and obtained provisional permission for the redevelopment of Market Street Car Park. However, material issues, such as the determination of the differential premium payable to the Singapore Land Authority for the lifting of the title restriction of the property and other matters, are still being evaluated and it is pre-mature to make any definitive conclusion regarding the feasibility of the proposed redevelopment. As there is no certainty of the proposed redevelopment materializing, unitholders are advised to exercise caution in trading the units of CCT.
We will make an announcement to the SGX-ST of any material development on this matter as and when appropriate in accordance with the Listing Rules of the SGX-ST.
